Inkheart Movie Trailer

The full length trailer of Inkheart, upcoming movie directed by Iain Softley and is starring Brendan Fraser, has been released:

Within the pages of a book a world of magic awaits!

Have you ever heard of flying monkeys before? What an amazing idea! Much more stunning than a stupid horse with a corn, er, I mean more stunning than a unicorn...

Brendan Fraser's movies are maybe not masterpieces but still they are quite entertaining most of the time. And if this movie can bring a few kids back to reading books that would really great. So let's go watch Inkheart with your children!

Inkheart Movie PosterEvery story ever written is just waiting to become real.

One can spot a unicorn on the poster of Inkheart. I don't understand why such a chimera has been fascinating people for centuries... It's but a horse with a uni-corn (one horn in Latin), great: cows are bi-corns (two horns)...

Inkheart First Official Teaser Trailer

Inkheart, a movie adaptation of the 2003 German novel of the same name by Cornelia Funke, has been under works. The film is directed by Iain Softley and is starring Brendan Fraser and the young Eliza Bennett respectively as Mortimer Folchart and his daughter Meggie.

Initially slated for release in March 2008 the film has been pushed back to early January 2009.

Here below the first official teaser trailer of Inkheart:

What if every time you read aloud the story came to life?

All the mystery, all the danger, all the adventure jumps off the page!

Coming Soon

The Plot:
"When Mo (Brendan Fraser) reads aloud from books, he has the ability to make the characters come out of the book, into real life. Mo discovered his power when his daughter Meggie (Eliza Bennett), was just a baby. Mo read aloud from the book Inkheart, which caused several of the book's wicked characters, including Capricorn (Andy Serkis), to literally come to life. But while he read them out of the book, he accidentally read Meggie’s mother, Theresa (Sienna Guillory) into the story.

Meggie is 12 years old, but knows nothing of her father's bizarre and powerful talent. But Meggie is annoyed that Mo still refuses to read to her. Capricorn, a man who burns for pleasure and being so evil that he would 'feed a bird to a cat on purpose, just to watch it being torn apart', has searched for Meggie's father for years, seeking to twist Mo's powerful talent to his own dark means. Finally, Capricorn realizes that the best way to lure Mo to his remote mountain hideaway is to use his beloved daughter Meggie as bait. While Meggie discovers Capricorn's ruthless plan, she too, can pluck people from pages and bring them to life, but it takes a while for her to realize her power." (Source: Wikipedia)

The plot of Inkheart somehow reminds of Adam Sandler's Bedtime Stories. But it still differentiates itself.

I wonder if Inkheart will perform better.
